Leah Thompson
Originally from Atlanta, GA, Leah spent her summers visiting the Isle of Palms and fell in love with the vast expanse of space to explore and admire the wildlife, splash in tidepools and bond with her family over fresh seafood dinners.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Georgia and Masters of Business Administration in Accounting, she worked as a Controller for an entrepreneur for several years in many different fields. Leah eventually ended up working for him in the Oil Field Services industry and moving her family to North Dakota. After buying and selling many houses of her own and her stint in the brutally cold climate, Leah and her family made their way back to warm and sunny Charleston. Here she worked as an Investment Accountant reviewing closing statements for investment group transactions. She eventually connected with Steve Herlong and has worked as the Financial Manager of Herlong Architects for the last 9 years.
With a knack for numbers, her experience of buying and selling several of her own homes, and observing the detailed process of designing custom homes at Herlong Architects, getting her Real Estate license seemed to be the obvious next step in her career.
Leah currently resides in the Old Village area of Mount Pleasant, SC with her husband and two daughters. She spends her free time away from her computer, visiting the beach with her family and watching her children enjoy the same experiences she had when visiting in the summers as a child.
